Nobody trains around a plan. Everybody trains around a life, travel, deadlines, family, the days that just go sideways.

The single superpower in endurance is consistency, and consistency is a design problem, not a discipline problem. If your week only works when everything cooperates, you haven't designed a week.

Start with the non-negotiables. For me it's two: a fixed wake time and a long run. Everything else moves.

Then decide the trade-offs in advance, while you're calm. If the flight is delayed, the session becomes twenty minutes in a hotel corridor. If the meeting runs over, the session moves to tomorrow, not to never.

Deciding in advance is the whole trick. Fatigue makes terrible decisions, and 6pm you is not the person who should be arbitrating your training.

Rituals do the rest. Kit laid out. Bag packed the night before. Small frictions removed while you have the capacity to remove them.

One action this week: write your two non-negotiables and the pre-agreed fallback for each. One page. Keep it where you'll see it on a bad day.
