Presence Over Pace.
Why the watch is a tool, not a verdict — and what changes when you stop racing the data.

There is a moment, somewhere around mile three, when the noise stops. The split alerts fade, the to-do list quiets, and what is left is rhythm — breath, foot, breath, foot. That is the run I am chasing. Not the PB. Not the segment crown. The honest one.
Pace will come. It always does, when the foundation is patient. Presence is the harder discipline: showing up on the days you do not want to, running easy when your ego wants hard, and listening to a body that has carried you through every season of your life.
If you take one thing from this note, take this: the watch is a tool, not a verdict. Run the mile you are in.
